A typical 150 Watt High Pressure Sodium bulb with an E26 (medium) base produces about 12,000 - 14,000 lumens. Ask some light bulb guys and they might scoff at you and tell you to go home. But, not here buddy. I'm telling you, a 23 Watt PAR38 that only produces 1,700 lumens can do the same job.

Not Just Plug-in Play
We've done it for some of our customers, but some haven't yet. Here are some things to keep in mind if you're thinking about swapping out your 150 watt HPS with the PAR38, you MUST remove or at least disconnect the ballast and directly wire the line to the medium base socket.
Top Reasons Why You Should Consider LED Replacements
- Save 85% in Lighting energy costs
- HPS lamps are dangerously hot when used; LED bulbs get hot, but definitely nowhere near an HID bulb like an High Pressure Sodium
- HPS Lamps don't have a warranty. Sure, they are rated to last almost as long as this PAR38 replacement, but just like any other light bulb other than an LED, if it burns out, you're S.O.L. - you don't want that as your middle name.
- Save money in the long run with LED lamps. LED bulbs carry the initial burden of higher costs, but over time, you'll save 85% in lighting one of your many HPS lamps.
